Ms. Nicole Cassidy
Miss Cassidy has been working as a special education teacher at Clinton Avenue School since August 2013. Her first five years at Clinton Avenue, Miss Cassidy worked as a Kindergarten through fourth grade resource room teacher. She has been working as the K-8 self-contained teacher since August 2018. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern Connecticut State University in May 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. In December 2017, she graduated from SCSU with her Master of Science degree in TESOL (Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages). Miss Cassidy is certified to teach K-12 special education, K-6 elementary education, and K-12 & adult English as a Second Language (ESL). Additionally, Miss Cassidy is trained in Physical/Psychological Management (PMT). Miss Cassidy is also a volunteer coach and Unified Partner for Special Olympics Connecticut. In her spare time, Miss Cassidy enjoys playing volleyball, training in martial arts, reading Harry Potter and spending time with her family friends and her dog, Hiccup.
